About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing - Pyongyang - Beijing

Hi, I will be arriving from Helsinki on a US passport august 5th at 7am, leaving the next morning at 12:55pm for Pyongyang. I will return to Beijing from Pyongyang August 10th at 10am,, and leave the morning of August 12th at 10:55am. I will not be receiving my DPRK visa until I arrive at the hotel in Beijing where my tour company will be, will I still be able to avoid getting a Chinese one for transit?

I am afraid not if you will not have a valid DPRK visa in hand when you arrive at the airport, or maybe you will have problem to board the plane to Beijing.
