application with criminal convictions

I have a recorded criminal conviction going back 16 years which was a one off misdemeanor and nothing since in fact the police check data base only goes back 10 years and it doesnt show up on that now,is this going to prevent me getting a tourist visa for mainland China for a 5 day stay.

Hi, don't worry, it is ok for you to visit for such a short time. Just submit your application to CVASC with required documents.
