a trip to longmen grottoes, luoyang

We will be traveling to Zhengzhou in early November and are interested in a trip to Longmen Grottoes, LY on the first Sunday we arrive. There will be 5 of us. What is the best way to get there? Should we take a train if so which one and what stations or are there tour guides that can be hired? We do not speak Chinese. Please advise, thank you.

The best method to is to take the bullet train from Zhengzhou to LY Longmen Railway Station. Get out of the station, you can find local public bus 67 to take you to the grottoes directly. It is hard for you to hire a tour guide locally.If you want to hire a tour guide, it is suggested to join a tour in advance. You may try the service of TravelChinaGuide.com. I joined their tour to visit LY and Shaolin Temple, which was prefect. They picked up us at Longmen Railway Station and then take us to grottoes directly.
