About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I have about a 4-5 hr layover in Beijing going and coming back. Do I need a visa for China?

I will be flying out of Portland, Oregon to stay with private family friends in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia for a week. The flights go thru Beijing stopping and changing airlines for 4-5 hrs each way.

You don't need one if you have onward air-ticket to Mongolia in your hands.
