About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I will be transferring through Bejing airport on my way to Singapore, do I need a visa?

I am not planning to leave the airport in Bejing, just flying through.

No, actually you meet the requirements for 72 hours free transit in Beijing. It means that you can leave the airport to visit the city without applying for the stay permit.
