About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I fly to Beijing, then leave via cruise ship and not require a Visa?

I would fly into Beijing, stay no longer than 72hours, then leave on a Princess cruise from the port near Beijing.

No, you need to fly out of China if you want to enjoy 72 hours free transit in Beijing. Considering of your situation, you should apply for a Chinese visa in advance.
