how many day should i plan only for kunming trip

I plan to visit KM on middle of Aug 2013. How many day i need to plan on it. The weather is cold or hot? Where should i plan to go. This is family trip got children and old folks.

It is suggested to spend two days for the city.The first day can be spent in Stone Forest and the second day can be spent at Dianchi and Western Hill area.It is not so hot and not so humid, so please do not worry about it.
