Can I bring my electric guitar in my suitcase without being confiscated?

I know this sounds a bit awkward, but I have an electric guitar. My electric guitar currently has no hard case, only softcase. So I dissasembled it into neck and body, two seperate parts along with remaining nuts and bolts in a plastic ziplock bag. They are packed well and would be packed with the clothes, on a layer of towels. Is this acceptable?

Should I be expecting somebody to wait me at the baggage claim area, when I arrive in Beijing or Shanghai airports?

And yes, I prefer not to buy another one unless I can buy an exact replacement in China, the exact same alnico 2 pickups, exact same color, and fretboard. Or if a music dealership can custom order one for me from abroad and shipped to my address in Shanghai.

Yes, you can do as what you said. But I suggested to ask airline company to ask them to find a more suitable solution.
