About:Visa Policy of China

visiting family for 6 - 8 months

My son and family live in China. We want to visit on a multiple entry visa. We have air line tickets to mainland, but don't have return passage booked. We stay from six to nine months. Do we need any special papers to get approval?

Invitation letter from your son and copies of his residence permit/visa and work permit are required, and his birth certificate as well as proof of relationship. But I am not sure if you can get a multiple entry L because the consular officers make the final decision on the types. Anyway, even you get a single or double entry one, you can extend it while you are in China.
