About:China Visa Exemption

Visa for Shanghai Layover

Hello,
I am Canadian and my friend is British. We have a 19 hour layover in Shanghai on our way back to Canada. Will we need a one to go into Shanghai for a day?

You can apply for a transit permit at Shanghai airport if you plan to go out to the city for a day.
