You can submit your application directly to the Chinese embassy in Abu Dhabi with following documents:
1. Original passport with blank visa pages and validity of more than 6 months;

2. UAE resident visa valid for more than 6 months (original and copy);

3. Application Form which must be completed neatly and signed by the applicant;

4. One passport photo;

5. Round-trip ticket and hotel bookings.

If for tourism, a No-objection letter from your sponsor stating your position, monthly or yearly salary to Embassy is required.
