About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Do I need a Visa for China?

Travelling London to Shanghai, Beijing and then to Hongkong. Total stay in China less than10 days. I am a British National and have confirmed Air Tickets and Hotel Accomodation.

The Travel Agent has informed me that if my stay is not more than 15 days, then I do not need one for China.

No, this is wrong information. You need to apply for a Chinese visa in advance for this visit.
