About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72-hour visa clarification

If I fly from Seoul into Shainghai on a Friday night and fly out to Hong-Kong on Sunday, coming back to Shanghai Monday and flying back to Seoul Tuesday, will that fall into the definition of the 72-hour free transit? Specifically, I'm wondering how Hong Kong is considered. . out of region?

Yes, your itinerary is ok for this free transit. HK is counted as the third region, which is different from mainland.
