Passport validity required for visit to Hong Kong

We are planning to visit HK as tourists. My wife has a UK passport which is due to expire about 6 weeks after we are due to leave HK. I have read that a minimum of 1 months validity is required. Will this be OK?

Yes, the passport should be valid at least one month beyond your intended stay in HK. May I know how long you will stay there?
