can we get china visas when we are in hk ?

Hi, We are Amercian citizens living in Margarita Island,Venezuela.Me and my 14 years old daughter will travel to HK, then we will go to Visit mainland. Since we living in Margarita Island,it is not easy to travel to Caracas.We do not want to miss school.Can we do it by mail?

It is possible for you to get it in HK, but you are suggested to apply in advance. You can send your applications with materious to someone else or a travel agency if you can not do application in person. Mail application is not acceptable.
