would it be easier for me to travel from britain to beijing and then to quanzhou

If your final destination is Quanzhou, there is no need to transfer at BJ. I suggest you fly from London to Shenzhen. Then take the direct flight to Quanzhou Jinjiang Airport. After that, you can take a taxi to Quanzhou.0
