About:Qingdao Transportation

I will be visiting Qingdao in May 2013 and intend to visit Taishan Mountain at Taian.

Should I take the train from the Railway Station? If so, what the charges for the train? - the cheapest fare is how much? Can I book online - I could not find the most economical train at the website? Is the train station in Taian nearer to the Taishan mountain or the long distance bus nearer to the mountain?

Yes, you can take a train to Taishan and you will get to Taishan Railway Station, near which you can easily find the buses to the Scenic Area. Or at the train station, bus no. 3 can take you to Hongmen Station, which is close to the Scenic Area. Besides, to take a taxi is also suggested. The taxi fare from the raiwlay station to Taishan is CNY10-15.

As I know, the distance of long-distance bus stations from the scenic area is almost the same as the train station does.

Right, here is the train fare to Taishan:
CNY69 for a hard seat
CNY123-130 for a hard sleeper
around CNY190 for a soft sleeper

Thus the cheapest ticket fare should be CNY69. You can book on the website:
