About:Visa Policy of China

tourist visa to PRC

I currently reside in Saudi Arabia and plan on visiting China (tourism) either this May or September. Other than a valid passport what else will I need? I was told by someone that an invitation letter is required? Is this true for a tourist visa?

If you do not have an invitation letter, you have to provide an travel itinerary, round-trip air tickets and hotel booking bill. Besides, an original letter from your employer is needed. It should contain your name, nationality, occupation, purpose of the visit, the planned date of entry and financial conditions. And a fully filled application form with your signature and a passport sized photo with white background are required too.

If you are from the third country, you will be required to provide a photocopy of your valid residence permit in Saudi Arabia.

Hi Jane, and thank you for your reply. Actually, I live in Al-Khobar and I plan on submitting an application to the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain. However, I don't have residency in Bahrain. Will they accept?
