About:

Coming from the Kunming Airport to Beijing Road (Hotel)

Not sure if this is the best way ... using the Line 6 Subway to East Bus Station, then the shuttle to Juhua Village. How do I get from Juhua Village to Beijing Road?

Or a better way from the Airport to Beijing Road...

The way you mentioned is correct, but it is a little complicated.
I suggest you take Airport Express Bus Line 2 to the local Railway Station, which is within walking distance from Beijing Road.

Line 2: North Bus Station – Suwang Village

Stations: North Bus Station – Longtou Street – Sijiaying – Yangchang Village – Linyu Bridge –Beichen – Jinxing – Baiyun Road – North Railway Station – Chuanxin Drum Tower – Jiaosanqiao – Dongfeng Square – Tangzixiang – South Ring Road – Kunming Railway Station – Nanba Road – Jinyuan – Yiyuan Community – Guannan Guangfu – Liujia – Sujia Village – Suwang Village

This is the route... so then I need to get off at the Railway Station? That would be the closest to my hotel?

No, this is the local subway line 2. As Lisa suggested, you can take the Express Bus Line 2 (空港二线) at the airport to the local Railway Station and then walk to your hotel conveniently. They are different, buddy!
