Vietnamese traveling from Singapore to Korea

Im a vietnamese, holding vietnamese passport. Ive booked the ticket from singapore to Korea and i will transit at Shanghai Pudong Airport. Do i need a transit visa from the embassy of china in singapore? how long does this usually take?

If your stopover is less than 24 hours and you will not leave the airport transit area, visa is not required.
