You can take the airport shuttle bus to reach its terminal at Xidan and then change to local subway line 1 to reach Dongdan. Then change to line 5 to reach Yonghegong Metro Station.0

Thank you! We just bk hotel at Line 5, Chongwenmen, thinking its closer. So still shuttle to Xiden on line 1, then 5 to Chong. How long is the shuttle ride? How much? Will that and the subway run so late. Flight does not arrive until 10:30pm (if on time).
Will it be expensive to take a taxi? Thanks again for your input.0

If so, it is no use to take the line 1 and then change to line 5.
You can only take the airport shuttle bus to reach Xidan and then take a taxi to reach your hotel. The taxi fare is around 15 to 20RMB. The shuttle bus to Xidan from the airport costs about an hour. In this way, it is no need to take the subway.
Or you can take taxi from the airport to reach your hotel directly, but the taxi fare is around 40RMB.

Pls confirm that shuttle will run although our flgt. arrvl. is past 10:30pm. Where to catch it, what bus number? We don't speak Mandarin.
General question - what time does the BJ subway close for the night? Apparently our hotel is only 4 stops away on the metro from Xidan.
Once you provide the above 2 answers, we ought to be perfectly clear on how to rtn to the hotel from NAY late at night. Thank you again!0

Don't worry! The airport shuttle bus will not stop service until 24:00, so upon your arrival at 22:30, you can still catch the bus if you hurry up!
Generally, the subway lines stop operating around 23:00. So it is best to take a taxi to exactly reach your hotel upon arrival at Xidan.0
