double entry visa validity

Hi, i am applying for a double entry, on the application form is says 'two entries valid for 3 to 6 months from application' what does that mean? i would be entering on the 05/05/2013 for 12 days and then re entering on the 28/05/2013 for one day. would that be the correct type for me to apply for?
