If for sight-seeing only, you can provide Tourist Agenda, Personal Written Statement , return ticket and hotel reservation instead of the invitation letter. Other basic documents required are your passport, application form, and photo. If you visit China for the first time, you may required to provide a bank statement if necessary. So, please contact the office center directly for confirmation.
