About:China Visa

Hello, I am a Vietnamese graduate, now freelancer, living in China again with my student visa

I am now looking to apply for a business M type, however I have not been able to find clear information about how long I can stay in PRC with this type as well as the allowed duration of each stay (supposedly 90 days?).

If you want to apply for business M type, you first need to get an invitation letter from your trade partner in PRC.
And usually, you may be given a 3-month business M type with stay duration of 30 days which means that you can only stay for 30 days in PRC.
So you’d better stay in PRC with your current student X type and don’t change it to business M type.

Thank you for your reply!
I have another question, which is about the 2 years of working experience that you need in order to get a working visa in China. I have read that since February this year, those 2 years are not necessary anymore. However, other people have told me that 2 years experience is still a requirement. And if so, does my working experience that I got during my studies count?

Tuna, the 2-year work experience is necessary in most cases. And usually, the work experience that you got during studies doesn’t count. It refers to the work experience you get after graduation.
Or if you graduate from the colleges in Shanghai and have acquired the master’s degree or above degree there, the 2-year work experience may not be required.
