US citizen apply for tourist visa in Thailand

Im traveling to Thailand the end of this month. Ive a plan to visit China from Thailand. Is it possible for me to apply for a visa in Chiang Mai, Thailand?

Hi, it is possible to apply for a chinese visa in Chiang Mai, but if time permits, you are suggested to apply in US in advance. The processing takes 4 working days only, and it is easier in US.
