About:China Customs Declaration

Do i need to pay tax for skin care products into China?

i am taking skin care products worth of $200 or two friends in beijing from USA. Some the product will have two copies. Do i need to pay tax for this? What is the maximum amount I can carry so that I dont have to pay tax?

Generally, it is allowed to take in the products for self-use. If all the products' value is under CNY1,000 (about USD160), you don't need to pay tax. Otherwise, you have to pay tax ansd the tax rate is 50%.
