About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

If my family visits me on L, can they change it into Z as dependent in china? - by Murali

I am a teacher working in China mainland with a Z. I want to bring my wife and child to stay with me. If they enter China with L, can they change it into Z dependent visa and get resident permit on the basis of my Z and resident permit? Is it legal to enter with family visit L and extend their stay above three months?

Hi, it is ok for your family to enter with L, and apply for extension or into Z as dependents within China.
