About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

American Military member traveling to beijing for vacation.

Hello, I am trying to go on vacation to Beijing and because I an American in the military I am being told that I do not require a multi-entry stamp on my tourist passport but at the travel agency here on base (Japan) they are telling me that they need one. Is there another way to apply for a chinese visa? If so, then what would be the proper way to do it? thank you

What do you mean by a multi-entry stamp on your tourist passport? is that you need a multiple entry visa to China? I'm confused.
