About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Itinerary for 12 month multiple entry visa

For visa approval, must I actually book hotel reservations in advance, or can I just list hotel names and addresses where I plan to stay?

You can book hotels for a few nights in advance for application, and list your itinerary where you will visit and stay. They know that it is not practical to book all accommodation far before visit.
