Documerts for China visa

In my current Canadian passport, I have my full Chinese name in english spelling. In addition, there is an english name (e.g. Peter) that was not shown in my other document. I was told to provide some old passport even expired for reference to show my Chinese name as well. Would that be a problem in my old document without this additional english name?

If your former nationality was Chinese, you need to write your Chinese name in the application form and submit your original Chinese passport and the photocopy of the information page of the passport. The english name you said is not required.
