About:Chinese Embassy in Australia
we arrive by ship in shanghai for a 11 hour visit .do we need a visa .
Surely this would be classed as a transit visit.

Yes, a transit visa is needed if you plan to get off the ship and visit Shanghai.

were do you get a transit visa.it appears it would be cheaper to stay onboard the ship.No place is worth that amount of money for 11 hours.
