Follow up question about going through customs.

Ellen, thank you for your response telling me that we will go through customs in Beijing on our way to Chengdu. I have a follow up question. Does this mean that we will have to collect our checked luggage, go through customs in BJ, then recheck our luggage through to Chengdu? We only 1.5 hours between flights and I am worried that that will not be sufficient. Thank you!
