About:Shanghai Transportation by Air

baggage issue in Shanghai Airport

I'm leaving from JFK going to Bangkok via Shanghai Airport. When I arrive at Shanghai airport do I have to claim my baggage before boarding the plane to Bangkok? Will my bags arrive in Bangkok? Do I have to go through customs as well?

Generally speaking, if you have connecting air ticket, it is not need to claim your baggage.
If not, I advise you to ask the detail information for your airline company to make sure.
