About:Chinese Consulates in South Korea

VISA for South African passport holder in South Korea

Hi, I am visiting my wife that is working in Korea and she has a ARC. I am on holiday. We want to visit China over China New year in two weeks. I am told I cannot get a VISA because I do not have a ARC, I am on holiday and working here, is it true and why cannot I get it? My time is short to apply. Need answer ASAP please.

Do you mean you work in South Korea? That is true ARC valid for more than 6 months is required.
Anyway, contact a travel agency for details as they know the latest requirements for application.
