About:China Transit Visa

Visa for layover in Shanghai from Bangkok back to NYC?

I am a US citizen traveling from Bangkok back to NYC with a layover in Shanghai. My layover in Shanghai is 14 hrs...do I need a visa to leave the airport? Thanks!

No visa is required, you can get a transit permit at the airport if you need leave the airport to the city.
