I read on line that after January 1, 2013 we do NOT need Visa's if we are there less than 72 hours....is that correct?
Also, on line it says we do need a visa for Singapore.

The visa free policy is only valid for those who transit Shanghai and Beijing by air, but you are by cruise.

Yes, we are taking a cruise, but we are FLYING into Singapore and FLYING out of Shanghai.
What do we need for Singapore and Shanghai?
And do we need a Visa for Xiamen too?

You will departure from Shanghai by air, but you will go to Shanghai by cruise, right? Then you still need a visa for your trip in Shanghai. The thing is the same in Xiamen.
