do we (American and german citizens)need visa to Macao from HK and fly back to Europe/USA from HK?

Our cruise will end in HongKong and we(american and german citizens) can stay to visit HK and Macao for 4 more days without visa and our flight back home is from HongKong.Is it OK?For some countries you cannot go back to HongKong.
