A New Visa?

I am a Canadian currently in China. My visa expires the end of the month, but I don't want to go all the way back to Canada to get a new one. I know I can get a new one from Hong Kong, but can I also get one from Singapore? I would like a 12 month multiple entry visa. Is this possible?

It is impossible to get one in Singapore unless you are a SPR, WP, EP, STP, or DP holder there.

Are you sure? The Chinese Visa Application Office Website says its up to the discretion of the person reviewing your application.

unless you are exempted from any visa or permit to work or stay in Singapore. Otherwise, you can only have a try. You are right it is indeed a risk if you meet an ungenerous officer. BTW, they may be strict in 12 month multiple application.
