About:Visa Policy of China

Spousal Visa

Hi there,

I am a UK citizen and currently studying in China at Shandong University in Jinan. I am studying on a X visa as part of a chinese scholarship.

I came back to the UK recently because my wife has had a baby and I will be going back in Feb. I want to take my wife and baby with me to China - could you tell me what kind of visas I would need for them? Do I need an invitation letter for them? What kind of documents would I need?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Your wife and kid can only apply for a tourist visa to stay with you in China for no more than 30 days if you are astudents there. You should ask the school administration to offer an official invitation for them. You yourself should provide copies of your residence permit in China and your passport. If you want your wife and kid to live longer with you in China, please turn to the China embassy in Uk for practical help.
