My wife and I have been invited by an American National living and working at the Beijing International University as an English Proffessor. We would like to vist her for two weeks.  What do we need to get a China Visa to travel on the 15th Febuary  through the 1st March 2013?

You can apply for tourist visas to China for this trip. Documents needed are your passport, application form, photo, invitation letter from the US friend and copies of her China visa, passport, work permit and residence permit. If she will shoulder your travel expense, her bank statement is also required. If you will stay with her, the information should be included in the invitation letter.
