Yes, you should apply separately at New Delhi and Kolkata. Fee is Rs 3000 for a Single Entry. Extra service fee is Rs 621 per person. You can pay in cash.
For tourism, round-trip airline tickets and hotel reservation are required. If visiting for a group tour, a travel certificate issued by a travel agency in India should be provided. If you visit China for the First time, you are required to submit bank statement (latest 6 months) with 1 lac balance. Other basic requirements are passport, application form and photo. The office is closed from Jan.1-3, you can submit application on this friday.

Thanks for your reply. No travel agency is involved in India as such the question of their Certificate doesn't arise. In fact their involvement is not there. Even the Air Tickets : from Kolkata to Kunming and Bangkok to Kolkata are proposed to be
brought on line. The other countries formining part of this trip i.e.,Vietnam,Laos & Cambodia shall be covered by Bus .Further the Kunming / Hekou bus ticket also cannot be purchased now from India as well.
Only the booking of Hotel at Kunming could be evidenced. Further the family group consists of two ladies
who are basically house-wives, therefore separate Bank Account Statement maynot be possible. However,
their acquiring of a Credit Card may be possible. Kindly crystallize the position and oblige.

Anyway, you can refer to http://www.visaforchina.in/visaen/visaView.html?method=readNotify&notifyId=1115#Menu=ChildMenu2 for more information or contact the CVASC at :+91-11-41095601 / 41095602 for details.
