About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

I'm a PhD student (From Sri Lanka) in Beijing,China. I want to take my husband to China for 5 years.

He's a Technical officer in construction field. Can he work in China?. What type of visa does he need to apply?
What are the documents we have to prepare?

To live in China for five years, your husband have to find an offer from a China-based company and sign a 5-year work contract. Then apply for a China work visa under the help of the employer.
