travel from lijiang to zhongdian (shangri-la) - end of dec 2012

Question

On 29Dec2012, we will travel by bus or taxi from Lijiang to Zhongdian (Shangri-la):1.  Will the road close due to bad weather?2.  Need to make advance booking for the bus tickets?3.  Any extra charges for luggage? 4.  We hv booked hotel at No.11, Co Lang Street, Shangri-la, 674400, China, the bus will stop at Shangri-La Oldtown?5.  How is the weather for end of Dec @ Zhongdian (Shangri-La)?

The road will not close, but the road may not be good to drive.No need to make advance booking for the ticket. It is not the peak season for traveling in that area.No extra charges for the luggage, unless your luggage is too large and heavy.The bus for Shangri-La stops not in the old town, you still need about 15 mintues to reach the old town.It will cold in at Zhongdian, so I suggest you to take the thick coats and sweaters.
