Hello,

We are a family of five who will be arriving in Shanghai 16 January 2013, staying in a hotel for the niight, and leaving on 17 January 2013 for a holiday in Japan.

I am an Australian citizen
My husband is an Australian permanent resident and Danish citizen
Our three children are Australian citizens

Do we need visas?
If so, what type and what is the fee?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks,

Sally Taylor

Hi, don't worry, you all are exempted from visa to transit in Shanghai if your stopover is less than 48 hours. And you are allowed to go out to the city freely.
