About:Hong Kong MTR Tickets & Fares

Refund of Unused Airport Express fare

Will the Airport Express portion (HK$100) of the Airport Express Pass (HK$220) be refunded if it is unused?

There is a HK$50 refundable deposit on the ticket. You can return it to any Airport Express Customer Service Centre for a refund of the deposit and any balance value stored on the ticket. Balance Value refers to the value added to the Travel Pass for using on other places. If you hadn't added any value to it, only the HK$50 deposit will be refunded.

Sorry meaning ???Balance Value refers to the value added to the Travel Pass for using on other places. If you hadn't added any value to it, only the HK$50 deposit will be refunded. DON'T UNDERSTAND ?? can you figure it out. thank you ...

Airport Express can only be used in any 3 consecutive days of unlimited travel on the MTR, the Light Rail and MTR Bus (Northwest New Territories), except additional travel on the Airport Express, East Rail Line First Class, and travel to/from Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau stations. If you want to use it on other transportation, you need to recharge it.
At the end of your traveling, the money remaining on it can be returned to you if you return the Express. If you do not use the Express other transportation, you do not need to recharge and you cannot get any money back.
The 50 HK$ deposit is needed to pay when you buy the Express. When you return your Express, you can get it back no matter you recharged or not.
