Hi! We are British/ Filipino citizens.Do we still need visas to get out of the airport.

We are going to Philippines for a holiday. We will be flying with China Southern. Unfortunately, connection flight is a long 13 hours wait. We are planning to stay in a hotel overnight as the connection flight is in the morning. My question is do we still have to get a visa? Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
