About:China Customs Declaration

Are travelers checks included in a currency declaration?

According to what I have recently read, a traveler must declare any foreign currency in
excess of US$5000. One site said only cash-and NOT travelers checks-are included in
this. Another was uncertain.

Any clarification on this issue would be appreciated. Thank you......Karl Schaffner

It only refers to cash, not include travelers checks . If you have more than this amount, related documents will be needed and you need to declare to the customs.
