About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

I am a British citizen and i'll be transiting Guangzhou airport for 18 hours

Hi

It's on my way back from NZ in January (with china southern air),arriving at 6:05 am and departing just after midnight of the next day. I would like to leave the airport during this time and am wondering if I need a transit visa for less than 24 hours and if so how much would it cost?

Thanks Dan
