Passport Validity for application to China

Hello, It says if I apply for a double entry or 6 months multi-entry pass, my passport must be valid for over 12 months. I will only be going away for a month in December, and my passport expires middle of November next year (2013). I plan to apply for my visa sometime this weekend.
Will they allow me to apply for a double entry or 6 months multi-entry pass in my current situation?

If you will only visit for a month in December, a single entry is enough. Anyway, if you apply now, it is possible for you to get a 6 months visa, either double or multiple if you have all documents they asked as above list.
