Going to Shidu- Guilin of the north

Hey there, I really want to go to Shidu as it is supposed to be very pretty there. I was wondering if it is true that A) there is only one train a day (at night) going there and B) that the 917 bus is the only possibility taking around 6 hours ???? It says that there is around 80 stops or so until Shidu... how long can it possibly take to get there???

Hi, yes, only one train goes there each day - No. 6437. It leaves from West Railway Station at 17:44 and arrives at Ten Ferries Station (Shidu) at 20:05; train no. 6438 returns the same day night.
Bus 917 can be taken at the Heaven Bridge Station, Heaven Bridge Terminal Station or Guang’an Gate Station. The bus departs from Heaven Bridge at 7:00, 8:00, 13:30, 15:30 and 16:30. Many bus stops, but not that many. It takes about three hours for a single journey.
